My path to psychiatry was not a straight line, but my background makes me a better provider today. I earned my Master of Medical Science in PA Studies from Arcadia University in 2012 and spent my early career in emergency medicine. The ER taught me to think quickly and listen deeply, but it also revealed a critical truth: so many physical emergencies are rooted in untreated mental health stories. This realization led me to transition into outpatient psychiatry in 2020. Finding psychiatry felt like finding exactly where I was always supposed to be. It is where I feel most purposeful and helpful to my patients.
